Registered Nurse HF 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Department of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The newly created Medical Service main department ensures the basic medical-somatic care for incarcerated persons in all correctional institutions in the Canton of Zurich. As a central organizational unit, it guarantees harmonized and high-quality healthcare according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric-Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions. As part of the Vollzugseinrichtungen Zürich (VEZ), the Zentrum für ausländerrechtliche Administrativhaft (ZAA) in the immediate vicinity of Zurich Airport has 130 detention places. It is responsible for the accommodation of persons without valid residence status whose immigration proceedings must be secured, taking into account the different personal and individual needs of the admitted persons. To complement the Medical Service, we are looking for you immediately or by arrangement. This is your area of activity ### • You are the professional and thus responsible for initial intervention in medical and psychiatric emergencies, admission assessments, as well as the basic medical care of the incarcerated persons • You support the doctor's rounds and maintain active contact with various external agencies • Working hours from Monday to Sunday in shift operation from 07:00-20:00 with a maximum of 2 weekends per month (usually only one weekend) • You work closely with our supervisors/caregivers and train them for emergencies • You want to dive into the world of prison and interact with people from different cultures This is what you bring with you ### • You are a dipl. nursing professional (DN II or HF) and ready for a new challenge • With your experience and knowledge in the acute care area, in a psychiatry, or in an emergency station, you complement our team • You are a team player and stand out with your hands-on mentality • In addition to German, speaking another language is an advantage • "Lifelong learning" is not an unknown term to you and you are motivated to further your education in somatic/psychiatric nursing • There are small hurdles: You must be at least 25 years old and have an unblemished reputation What you receive from us ### • A large range of in-service training and further education in theory and practice awaits you • A Lunch Check card How to apply ### We look forward to applicants with a lot of initiative, openness, humor, and joy in working in a dynamic operation.
