The Department of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zürich ( www.vd.zh.ch) includes the Office for Employment, the Office for Economy, the Office for Mobility, as well as administratively the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV). The General Secretariat is the staff unit of the Head of Department and the service center of the department.

As part of the General Secretariat, the Digital Transformation & Business Services department supports digital transformation within the Department of Economic Affairs. It provides central services, supports administrative units with expert knowledge, and represents the interests of the department in cross-departmental committees.

For the implementation of a project for the transformation of central ICT processes and structures, we are looking for an experienced project manager, starting immediately or by arrangement, on a fixed-term basis for two years. In this role, you will lead the project and coordinate the associated development and structuring work. You will bring stakeholders together, create clarity, and ensure successful implementation. Additionally, you will provide methodological support for other ICT projects and participate in the development of the ICT roadmap.

Your tasks: ###

• Leading the implementation of the project for the transformation of the ICT organisation as well as the associated changes, development, and structuring work
• Planning, steering, and prioritizing work packages as well as their definition and coordination with the project team
• Collaboration in selected work packages as well as preparation and moderation of workshops
• Bringing about viable decisions and ensuring the quality, consistency, and feasibility of the project results
• Proactive risk, schedule, and stakeholder management as well as reporting to the clients
• Collaboration with the responsible persons in the development and structuring of the ICT roadmap

Your profile: ###

• Several years of experience in leading and managing complex IT, digitalization, or organizational projects
• Sound knowledge of project management methods as well as experience in the structuring and implementation of demanding undertakings
• Good understanding of ICT topics and their organizational connections
• Experience in change processes as well as in the development and further development of organizations and structures
• Strong moderation, communication, and negotiation skills as well as a confident appearance towards different stakeholders
• Analytical and conceptual strength as well as the ability to quickly grasp complex topics and prepare them comprehensibly
