LIS/LIMS Specialist: Laboratory Informatics (Laboratory Information Systems) The Institute for Medical Microbiology of the University of Zurich performs bacteriological, mycobacteriological, molecular biological, and mycological laboratory investigations in diagnostics. LIS/LIMS Specialist: Laboratory Informatics (Laboratory Information Systems) Tasks Our laboratory software forms the backbone of daily diagnostics – from sample reception to the creation of reports and billing. In order for our systems to function reliably and be continuously further developed, we are looking for a committed contact person for our laboratory systems, effective immediately. You understand laboratory processes and bring joy, interest, or experience in the IT field. Profile You are the central contact person for our laboratory and order management systems – from order entry to billing. You support systems such as MISA, M/LAB, i/med, RecoScan as well as adjacent applications. Analyze malfunctions, requirements, and change requests and accompany their implementation Coordinate cooperation with our specialist departments, software manufacturers, and Central IT Plan, test, and accompany releases and system changes Optimize laboratory processes, improve interfaces, and drive digitalization forward Train users participate in projects for the further development of laboratory informatics support the team in IT support We offer Our employees benefit from diverse and attractive offers. Work location Institute for Medical Microbiology Information on application You either come from a laboratory environment – for example as a BMA, laboratory technician, or from the field of microbiology/diagnostics – and want to specifically develop your IT knowledge. Career changers are welcome. Or you bring experience in the IT field, for example in application support, business analysis, or application management. You want to familiarize yourself with an exciting laboratory environment and ideally combine laboratory proximity with IT understanding. Subject matter proximity, IT understanding, as well as an analytical, structured, and independent way of working are important to us. You enjoy process optimization and can mediate clearly between specialist departments and technology. You handle sensitive data carefully, communicate confidently in German, and ideally bring English language skills.
