Materials Specialist in the Field of Heat Treatment (m/w/d) WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR In this exciting position, you will take on the responsibility for optimizing the mechanical properties of metal components through controlled heat treatment processes such as annealing, quenching, tempering, and carburizing. As a technical specialist, you will ensure that the manufactured components meet the required product specifications in terms of hardness, strength, ductility, and mass consistency. Your tasks in detail: Development, validation, and optimization of heat treatment processes such as batch, induction, vacuum, and nitriding processes Ensuring the required mechanical properties and quality standards of metal components Analysis and correction of process deviations such as deformations, crack formations, or hardness deviations Definition and implementation of corrective and improvement measures for process stabilization Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, industry standards, and customer-specific requirements Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications, and work instructions Close cooperation with production and engineering to optimize manufacturing and heat treatment processes Conducting and evaluating metallurgical analyses and technical test procedures is an advantage WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING Completed vocational training and/or a degree (university/FH) in materials science, metallurgy, materials technology, or a related field At least 10 years of experience with heat treatment processes in a foundry or a metallurgical laboratory.
