Café Yucca is a reliable, low-threshold meeting point with social counseling, catering and emergency beds in the Altstadt. You do not simply want to manage cases, but rather accompany people on their difficult path? You move confidently between empathy, structure and professional clarity? Then we are looking for exactly you immediately or by arrangement. Social Worker*, 60 - 70% Your main areas of work: Low-threshold social counseling Counseling in emergency situations Providing emergency aid Crisis intervention Running the daily operations Assisting at the counter if required Your profile: Degree in Social Work / Psychology / Social Sciences / Migration / Psychiatric Nursing or similar Joy in and experience in dealing with people in difficult life situations, persons without a home, those affected by poverty and people with mental impairments Experience in and joy in low-threshold counseling and complex issues Good knowledge of social assistance and/or foreign and integration law Knowledge of the social services in the Canton of Zürich is an advantage Willingness to work in the evening and on one weekend/month (Café Yucca is open approximately 360 days per year until 22.00) Team player, open, uncomplicated and patient Enjoyment of sometimes hectic operations High communication competence and ability to manage conflicts professionally Good oral foreign language skills mandatory (E and preferably Sp or I or F) We offer: Challenging and varied work in a low-threshold operation that is indispensable to Zürich Fulfilling, socially relevant activity Space for new ideas and room for co-design and participation Above-average motivated team Regular team meetings and team supervision Central workplace in the middle of the Altstadt 5 weeks vacation (from the 60th year of age 6 weeks) Solidara Zürich is affiliated with the pension fund of the city of Zürich and covers 60 percent of the PK contribution Further information is gladly provided by: Rentsch, Team Leader Café Yucca: T (from 16.
