Social Worker 80% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Direktion der Justiz und des Innern of the Kanton Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted people and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.  Die Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) Pöschwies is one of eight main departments of JuWe. With 399 places, the JVA Pöschwies is the largest closed penal institution in Switzerland for convicted men. It fulfills a central state task and, in accordance with its legal mandate, accounts for the resocialization of incarcerated persons and the protection of the general public.   To strengthen our team, we are looking for a responsible, resilient, and independent personality as a Social Worker, starting immediately or by arrangement. Your tasks ### • Supportive as well as recidivism-preventing social work in the execution of sanctions with incarcerated persons with various life stories • Active co-design and coordination of the execution planning together with internal and external specialist agencies • Advice and support for incarcerated persons regarding personal, social, and offense-relevant issues • Conducting structured advisory interviews with a focus on social reintegration and recidivism prevention • Planning and organization of the discharge situation • Responsibility for administrative tasks such as documentation and reporting • Interdisciplinary cooperation with internal and external work partners, authorities, and specialist agencies Your profile ### • Completed studies in Social Work as well as ideally initial professional experience in a social or institutional environment • Responsible, team-oriented, and independent personality with a professional way of working • High resilience as well as pronounced conflict and communication skills • Very good German skills in speaking and writing; foreign language skills are an advantage • Good IT user knowledge • Minimum age of 25 years as well as an unblemished record (no entries in the criminal and debt collection register) Our offer ### • Varied and responsible activity in an exciting and socially relevant working environment • Regulated office working hours • Structured and sound induction by an experienced team • Regular case intervision and supervision for professional support • Attractive training and further education opportunities • Employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines Your application ### Take the next step in your professional career with us and apply conveniently via our online tool.
