Security Specialist, Deputy Head of Security Department 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons, the prevention of recidivism, and the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance. The Security Department is the central contact point for all security-relevant questions in JuWe. It develops and is responsible for a robust, future-oriented security architecture for the entire office. The focus is on strengthening the security culture, a shared understanding of security, and the effective anchoring of standards and concepts in daily work. In doing so, the department makes a central contribution to the operational capability, reliability, and resilience of JuWe. Your field of activity ### • You are responsible for the control and strategic further development of central elements of the JuWe security architecture and maintain a broad network of internal and external contacts • You develop fundamentals, standards, and measures and accompany these independently from analysis through implementation to evaluation • You process complex security issues in areas such as technology, occupational safety, and fire protection and develop sound decision-making bases • You lead and coordinate projects, working groups, and exchange platforms and assume technical leadership of employees if required • You ensure knowledge transfer and advise managers as well as interfaces on security-relevant topics • You assume the function of Chief of Staff in the JuWe crisis management team What you bring with you ### • Federal Diploma of Higher Education with further training at CAS, DAS, MAS, or MBA level - alternatively an academic education with corresponding further training • Sound knowledge and several years of experience in at least two areas of security architecture, e.g., Risk, Security, Crisis, or Business Continuity Management • Practical background in the security environment, such as in corrections, police, military, civil protection, technology/construction, or corporate security • Experience in project management as well as a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working with a high level of service orientation • Very good analytical, conceptual, and editorial skills as well as stylistically proficient German in speaking and writing • Resilience, quick comprehension, and a confident appearance even in demanding situations • Advantageous: Additional training in the field of fire protection as well as occupational safety/health protection or the willingness to complete these, as well as experience in staff work What we can offer you ### • A meaningful task in an exciting and socially relevant environment • A lot of personal responsibility and participation in central topics of the JuWe security architecture • Scope for designing your own ideas and solutions in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders • Variety and diversity: You work both strategically-conceptually and practically with regular reference to our institutions • Targeted development through internal training and support for external professional training • A centrally located place of work near Altstetten station, assignments in the institutions as well as home office options according to operational specifications • Terms of employment according to cantonal guidelines Take the next step in your professional career with us and send us your application via our online tool.
