The goal is to create a transparent, efficient, and sustainable SAM approach along the entire software life cycle - from requirement and procurement through usage and governance to the decommissioning of software assets. In doing so, the focus is on the optimization of software and license management processes, the improvement of cost and compliance transparency, as well as the definition of a future target image including governance, roles, responsibilities, and supporting tool landscape. Tasks: Analysis of existing Software Asset Management and license management processes as well as identification of optimization potential Conception and further development of an end-to-end SAM process model including roles, responsibilities, and control mechanisms Elaboration of a target image for a modern Software Asset Management in interaction with IT, Purchasing, Finance, Security, and Compliance ? Definition and prioritization of functional requirements for a future SAM solution including tool evaluation and selection support Analysis of data requirements, interfaces, and integration possibilities into existing IT system landscapes Creation of functional concepts, decision bases, business cases, and management-grade documentation Support in the implementation of initial process and governance measures Requirements: Several years of expertise as a Business Engineer / Business Analyst with a focus on Software Asset Management (SAM) and license management at Senior Expert Level Demonstrable experience in the establishment, further development, or transformation of SAM processes as well as co-shaping larger SAM implementations Sound knowledge along the entire software life cycle including governance, compliance, cost optimization, and license management Experience in the definition of functional requirements as well as support of SAM tool evaluations and selection processes Strong stakeholder management skills in interaction with IT, Purchasing, Finance, Security, and Management Very strong analytical and conceptual abilities as well as experience in agile working environments Experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, Snow, or USU is an advantage, but not mandatory.
