Medical Practice Assistant 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. Die Justizvollzugsanstalt Pöschwies (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe. The JVA Pöschwies, with 399 places, is the largest closed correctional institution in Switzerland for convicted men. It fulfills a central state task and, in accordance with its legal mandate, accounts for the resocialization of incarcerated persons and the protection of the general public. Die Hauptabteilung Medizinischer Dienst ensures the basic medical-somatic care for the incarcerated persons in all correctional institutions of the Canton of Zürich. As a central organizational unit, it guarantees harmonized and high-quality healthcare according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatrisch-Psychologischer Dienst and the JuWe institutions.
