This is the job - Your main tasks #

• You develop viable Data & AI solution architectures. Together with specialist departments, IT and the Delivery Lead, you specify requirements and translate them into actionable concepts. You weigh standard products, managed services and in-house developments against each other.
• You design the interplay of the entire solution. You connect data, AI models, applications, interfaces and infrastructure and develop security, authorization, deployment and operating concepts for cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments.
• You work on the technical implementation yourself. You verify critical assumptions through technical spikes and prototypes, implement sophisticated components and accompany the solution until productive use.
• You make AI solutions production-ready. With the team, you define requirements for testing, evaluation, monitoring and operation and weigh quality, performance, availability and total costs against each other.
• You take on technical leadership. You set engineering standards, conduct code and architecture reviews and coach engineers. In doing so, you also further develop the quality-assured use of AI in the Software Development Lifecycle.
• You advise clients and represent technical decisions. You moderate solution and architecture workshops, explain alternatives and their consequences and coordinate architecture, security and operation with the responsible specialists.

This job is for you if #

• Practical experience with productive AI solutions in an enterprise environment. You have designed and implemented solutions yourself and know development, deployment and operation from personal experience.
• Profound knowledge in Agentic AI and modern AI architectures. You understand agents, agent teams and their orchestration, tool-calling, structured outputs as well as multimodal processing with voice and vision.
• Technical depth in software and data. You master service and API design and understand data models, data flows, specialist system integration, asynchronous processing and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud, on-prem, managed services, model deployment, network and infrastructure automation.
• A strong understanding of security and production readiness. You take into account identities, roles, data access, secrets and auditability as well as AI-specific risks. Tests, CI/CD, observability, versioning and restartability are part of the solution architecture for you.
• Consulting competence and enjoyment of the people business, as well as very good German skills at least at C1 level.

As an icing on the cake, you bring #

• Experience with demanding operating environments: You have realized local model deployment, GPU infrastructure or solutions with special requirements for data protection, availability or isolation.
• Experience with structured architecture documentation: For example, you use arc42 and document architecture decisions so that clients and implementation teams can work further with them.
• Experience with AI-supported engineering: Beyond personal use, you have integrated coding assistants and agents into development, review and test processes and ensured their quality.
• Experience with reuse and presales: You have built reference architectures or common components or contributed to winning new mandates through technical consulting and convincing solution designs.
