Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.    The Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) Pöschwies is one of eight main departments of JuWe and, with 399 places, is the largest closed JVA in Switzerland for convicted men. It fulfills a central state task and, according to its legal mandate, accounts for the resocialization of incarcerated persons and the protection of the general public.   For the Economy & Work area, we are looking for a flexible, resilient, and eager-to-learn personality with pronounced social competence and interest in corrections, to start immediately or by arrangement. The position is temporary for two years. Your tasks ### • Support our workshop managers in versatile and varied activities in the work operations • Assumption of responsible security, control, and supervisory tasks as well as ensuring smooth operational processes • Care and guidance of incarcerated persons at various workplaces with the goal of promoting their personal and professional skills • Provision of work materials as well as performance of quality controls to ensure careful and timely execution of the work • Creation of a safe and structured environment for incarcerated persons, employees, and external partners • Active cooperation in the team and co-responsibility for safety within the framework of emergency management Your profile ### • Completed technical-manual basic training as well as several years of professional experience in this area • Ideally, you bring experience in leading employees or in supervising apprentices • Very good German language skills in speaking and writing as well as sound IT user knowledge are required; foreign language skills are a plus • With a quick grasp and high willingness to learn, you familiarize yourself quickly with new areas of responsibility • You convince through team spirit, resilience, and flexibility, and maintain an overview even in demanding situations • A minimum age of 25 years as well as an impeccable reputation round off your profile Our offer ### • An exciting and versatile activity in an extraordinary working environment awaits you • Benefit from attractive internal and external training and further education opportunities for your professional and personal development • Regular working hours from Monday to Friday in uniformed service operation await you, which allow for good daily planning • Catering options directly on-site in the JVA restaurant • An easily accessible workplace in Regensdorf with optimal transport connections • Modern and attractive employment conditions according to the cantonal guidelines Your application ### Ready for a new challenge?
