Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! Together with the municipal tax offices, the cantonal tax office collects taxes for the Confederation, the Canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. For this purpose, around 800 qualified employees are engaged at the location in Zürich Altstetten.
The Collection Service department acts as the legal service for tax collection. To strengthen our department, we are looking for a legal assistant as of 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
Drafting orders, objection, and appeal decisions in tax collection matters
Issuing security orders as well as conducting the corresponding attachment proceedings
Examining complex tax collection cases and initiating the associated lawsuits
Representing the Canton of Zürich in the legal remedy and litigation proceedings pertaining to tax collection before all courts
Binding advice to the municipal tax offices of the Canton of Zürich and the Cantonal Tax Office Zürich on legal matters of tax collection
Active participation in projects
Your profile
Completed legal studies (MLaw or lic. iur.)
Ideally professional experience at a court as well as good knowledge in the application of the SchKG and procedural law
Independent, committed, and team-oriented personality
Professional appearance and a stylistically confident, precise oral and written ability to express oneself
Resilience, high service orientation, and the ability for analytical, goal-oriented, and networked thinking
