Work with state-of-the-art histological and molecular biological methods on the diagnostics of complex diseases of the nervous system. Your main tasks <br /> • Processing of tissue as part of the diagnostics of the peripheral nervous system (muscle and nerve) • Processing of cerebrospinal fluid samples (liquor) • Receipt of telephone sample registrations • Performance of various histotechnical techniques including enzyme histochemistry as well as resin embeddings • Performance of molecular biological techniques, including Western blot as well as Real-Time Quaking-Induced Conversion (RT-QuIC) • Expression and purification (chromatography) of recombinant protein • Use in biosafety laboratory level P3* <br /> Your profile <br /> • Training as a Biomedical Analyst HF, Laboratory Technician, or a completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in Biology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology • Experience in the mentioned techniques is an advantage • You can easily familiarize yourself with new techniques • You enjoy working in a dynamic and varied environment • Independent and self-responsible way of working • Team-oriented and communicative personality • Good German and English skills (B2 or higher) • Strong sense of quality, duty, and service <br /> Further information If you have any questions about the position, please contact Regina Reimann, Senior Physician at the Institute of Neuropathology.
