For an established Swiss company in the retail environment, we are looking for an experienced personality as Interim IT Application Manager Warehouse Management System (WMS) starting immediately or by arrangement. In this versatile key role, you will take over the operational responsibility for central logistics applications for several months and simultaneously lead a small application management team. The focus is particularly on systems related to warehouse management, warehouse logistics, and automated logistics processes.

What awaits you:

• Functional and organizational leadership of a team of around 5 employees
• Responsibility for the operation, support, and further development of the deployed warehouse and logistics applications
• Analysis of requirements from operational logistics as well as translation into technical and functional specifications
• Support for ongoing WMS, interface, and application implementations
• Assumption and independent management of sub-projects within logistics and IT projects
• Coordination between specialist departments, internal IT, process management, and external software or implementation partners
• Support with testing, documentation, training, as well as with complex functional and technical questions

What you should bring with you:

• Several years of experience in IT Application Management, ideally with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems, logistics, or supply chain
• Sound experience with the implementation, further development, and support of business applications
• Very good understanding of warehouse processes, logistics workflows, and the interface between business and IT
• Experience in leading or coordinating a small IT or application management team
• Experience in IT projects as well as in the management of sub-projects or comparable areas of responsibility
• Strong hands-on mentality, quick comprehension, and the ability to rapidly familiarize yourself with existing systems and processes
• Business fluent German skills in speaking and writing, fluent English skills an advantage
