Isla Victoria is the counseling center for sex workers from Solidara Zürich with locations in Zürich and Winterthur. The offer includes low-threshold social counseling on various issues with a focus on residence & migration, finances, (social) insurance, health promotion and HIV/STI prevention, individual case assistance, catering, support with professional reorientation and outreach work in erotic establishments in the Canton of Zürich. For our unique Isla Victoria team, we are looking for, as of now or by arrangement Head of Department Isla Victoria, 80% ## You want to lead and further develop an experienced, independent working team operationally & strategically and at the same time maintain (again) a measured counseling presence "at the front". Then we are looking for exactly you for a position that does not suit everyone, but is a rare opportunity for the right person. Your role: ### • Leading the Isla Victoria team with currently seven permanent employees in the areas of social counseling, psychosocial counseling as well as kitchen / cleaning. • Professional and strategic further development of Isla Victoria as an organization and of individual offers (prioritizing Isla Victoria JobLab). • Sparring partner to the Managing Director on matters relating to Isla Victoria. • Field presence: With approximately 20 - 30% you remain connected to daily counseling without slipping into the operational role. • Cooperation, networking and contact maintenance with other specialist agencies and networking partners. • Organizational and administrative tasks. Your profile: ### • University or FH degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Health/Nursing or similar (conceptual and analytical tasks are part of the activity). • More than five years of direct leadership experience in an NGO or comparable context. • Several years of experience in a low-threshold, stigmatized field of work (addiction support, women's shelter, street work, migration or similar). Direct experience in counseling sex workers is a plus, but not a requirement. • Sound knowledge of social assistance, social insurance and/or migration law. • Experience in designing change processes. • High communication competence and ability to handle conflicts professionally. • A clear, partisan, but not ideological stance towards sex work. • Integrating personality, "bridge builder". • Humor, lightness and the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Business fluent German (negotiations in political and official contexts are part of the activity). • Very good foreign language skills (including preferably Portuguese or Spanish).
