The Department of Obstetrics at USZ is one of the leading obstetric centers in Switzerland. It covers the entire spectrum of obstetrics, including feto-maternal medicine, and offers outpatient prenatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, as well as malformation diagnostics. We offer you the opportunity to take on a senior physician function in university obstetrics. You will bear responsibility in clinical daily life and actively contribute to the care of mother and child as well as to research and teaching. Our over 8'600 employees and around 700 trainees are committed daily to the well-being of our patients. ### Your tasks • The independent care of pregnant and birthing women is as much a part of daily life as dealing with complex and sensitive situations. • You assume responsibility, in particular in cases of high-risk and multiple pregnancies as well as in operative deliveries. • Close cooperation with midwives, neonatology, anesthesia, and other specialist departments is a central component of the activity. • You make clinical decisions independently and prioritize them calmly and in a structured manner in acute settings. • In further training, you accompany resident physicians and provide professional orientation. • You actively contribute to the further development of processes and the quality of care. • You work with modern infrastructure in a university environment with a broad obstetric spectrum. Your profile • A specialist title in gynecology and obstetrics forms the basis for independently exercising clinical responsibility. • You have sound experience in obstetrics, particularly in dealing with complex situations. • You possess the certificate of competence for pregnancy ultrasound. • You make clear and responsible decisions even under time pressure. • Team-oriented work and the active shaping of cooperation are a matter of course for you. • Interest in university medicine as well as in research and teaching is welcome. • Confident communication in German and English completes your profile. • You are prepared to take on flexible working hours as well as shift services.
