Technical Pre-Sales Consultant – Cybersecurity

In order for security audits to be implemented successfully, a clear understanding of the customer situation, a clean technical classification of the requirements, and realistic planning are needed. As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, you are responsible for the scoping and planning of penetration tests and other cybersecurity projects.

We are looking for a committed, independent, and structured personality who, as part of the sales team, creates the connection between customers, sales, and our technical penetration testing business unit.

What awaits you

As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, you accompany the sales process for penetration tests and other cybersecurity projects. You clarify customer needs, translate technical requirements into viable project proposals, and ensure coordinated deployment and resource planning.

In close cooperation with sales and our cybersecurity experts, this specifically includes:

• Conducting technical clarifications, scoping discussions, and project preparations with customers
• Analysis of the initial situation, framework conditions, and objectives in cybersecurity audits and penetration tests
• Development of project proposals including scope, assumptions, delimitations, and effort estimation – together with specialists for demanding projects
• Documentation of relevant information as a basis for proposal creation, planning, and service delivery
• Planning and coordination of project deployments, taking into account availability, skills, durations, priorities, and customer requirements
• Ongoing coordination with project managers, technical consultants, sales, and operations for realistic and efficient deployment planning

What you bring

• Several years of professional experience in informatics, IT security, or cybersecurity, ideally in a service environment
• Good technical understanding in the field of cybersecurity and the ability to classify customer requirements professionally
• Enjoyment of pre-sales, customer contact, and the understandable communication of technical facts
• Structured, analytical way of working with organizational skill and the ability to bring together technical, commercial, and planning aspects
• Proficient German and good English skills in speaking and writing
• Impeccable reputation (proof via a current criminal and debt enforcement register extract)

Any professional / technical gaps will be closed together within the framework of our training program.
