As a Manufacturing Equipment Technician, you play a central role in maintaining the production facilities used for the manufacture of our innovative semiconductor laser technologies. Within our Manufacturing Equipment Engineering team, you are responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and setup of a variety of production systems that are crucial to the performance and reliability of our manufacturing. Main Tasks Carrying out preventive maintenance work, fault analysis, repairs, and calibrations on production facilities, including burn-in and life test systems for laser diodes. Assembly, installation, and commissioning of production facilities for semiconductor laser manufacturing. Analysis and resolution of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and system-related malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure reliable equipment operation. Documentation of maintenance and repair work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Support in the establishment and maintenance of a spare parts management to ensure high equipment availability and efficient maintenance planning. Calibration of system components as well as verification of equipment performance according to quality and production requirements. Close cooperation with technicians and engineers to improve equipment reliability, process stability, and manufacturing efficiency. Support of mechanical workshop work, including equipment adjustments, repairs, and manufacturing work. Participation in continuous improvement projects with a focus on equipment performance, availability, and operational excellence. Your Profile Completed technical vocational training, for example as an automation technician, mechatronics technician, polymechanic, industrial mechanic, electronics technician, or in a comparable technical profession. Experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment. Practical experience in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex production facilities. Skills & Requirements Strong technical understanding as well as the ability to systematically analyze and solve technical problems. Practical and hands-on way of working with enjoyment in technical and mechanical activities. Knowledge of pneumatics, cooling systems, or industrial automation is an advantage. Experience in dealing with maintenance management systems (CMMS) as well as good knowledge of MS Office applications. Willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies and complex production facilities. Team-oriented personality with good communication skills and a structured way of working.
