Cloud Solution Architect Presales

As part of our Cloud Sales Team, you help win new cloud business by translating customer requirements into viable and economical solutions. Your focus is on Private Cloud services from Swisscom and on Microsoft Azure; you cover workload migrations and operations with Managed Services. In close cooperation with Specialised Sales, Account Management and technical experts, you capture customer needs, develop viable offers and clearly demonstrate the benefit of your solution. In doing so, you design the solutions of tomorrow, work independently and use modern technologies in a targeted manner.

• You analyze IT environments and customer requirements and design solutions for virtual machines and containers, based on Swisscom's Private Cloud Services and Microsoft Azure
• You develop offers for migration and operation with Managed Services and present them to IT teams and customer project stakeholders
• You define scope of services, migration procedures, responsibilities, assumptions and dependencies together with Delivery and Operations
• You prepare documentation for tenders, solution specifications, effort estimates and price inputs
• You ensure a clear handover to Delivery and Operations so that the solution is implemented and operated as agreed

Your Skills

• Several years of experience in Cloud Solution Design, technical consulting or presales
• Proven track record in presales for cloud projects with migration and subsequent operation with Managed Services as well as familiarity with concepts such as Service Levels, Monitoring and Incident Management
• Sound understanding of Private Cloud and Microsoft Azure, especially in the areas of Compute, Storage, Network, Security and Backup as well as a suitable Microsoft Azure certification (mandatory)
• Practical experience with virtual machines and containerized environments including virtualization and Kubernetes as well as understanding of migration and operation
• You translate customer needs into clear solution proposals and explain technical decisions in an understandable way
• You work cooperatively, communicate clearly and have a sense for business; you want to win cloud business
• You take responsibility for defined solution activities and involve experienced colleagues for complex architectural or commercial questions
• Very good German and good English
