The medical, psychological, and pedagogical professionals form a competence center for prevention and health promotion, counseling and support, as well as information and public relations for the well-being of the children and adolescents of the Stadt Zürich. The Schulzahnärztliche Dienst is a department of the Schulgesundheitsdienste of the Stadtzürcher Schul- und Sportdepartement and operates seven school dental clinics distributed across the school districts of the Stadt Zürich.
