We are looking for an Institute Director Management & Leadership 70-80 % starting from 1. September 2026 or by arrangement in the Prorektorat Weiterbildung und Dienstleistungen. Institute Director Management & Leadership 70-80 % You will lead the Institute Management & Leadership as an independent organizational unit with overall strategic, personnel, and financial responsibility. Together with your team, you will consistently develop the educational offerings, strengthen the market position of the institute, and make an active contribution to the further development of the university of applied sciences. These are your main tasks: Responsibility for the strategic direction as well as the continuous further development of the Institute Management & Leadership within the framework of the overall strategy of the Prorektorat Weiterbildung und Dienstleistungen Responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, controlling, as well as co-responsibility for the economic development and achievement of goals of the institute (incl. revenue and result responsibility within the defined framework) Further development and management of the educational portfolio in cooperation with educational consulting and other departments Building and maintaining cooperations with companies, associations, and other stakeholders Active development, positioning, and scaling of offerings for private individuals, companies, and public administrations (B2C and B2B) Leadership, development, and promotion of employees (a total of 19 employees, 2 of whom are directly subordinate) as well as building a performance- and development-oriented leadership culture Active co-shaping of the overall development of the university of applied sciences and the Prorektorat Weiterbildung und Dienstleistungen as well as representation towards internal and external stakeholders Responsibility for process and quality management in the institute as well as ensuring compliance with relevant standards What you bring with you: Completed university degree Several years of experience in a leadership function with overall financial responsibility (budget, controlling, result responsibility) as well as a strong entrepreneurial mindset Demonstrable experience in the leadership and development of teams in a performance- and goal-oriented environment Experience in the strategic and operational further development of organizations, ideally in an education, service, or consulting environment Understanding of the Swiss education and further training market at tertiary level is an advantage Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as strong implementation strength High quality awareness, structured way of working, and the ability to translate complex topics into concrete results Very good communication skills in German as well as further language skills (e.g., English or ösisch) are an advantage What we offer you: A diverse task with great independence and personal responsibility in an agile working environment A committed team and supportive colleagues in a professional working environment Modern employment conditions (40 h/week, assumption of KTG and UVG contributions, UVG supplementary insurance, own pension fund, etc.) Internal education and training opportunities as well as attractive employee discounts Flexible working hours, home office (up to 50 % of the workload possible) as well as a centrally located workplace in Zürich Oerlikon (approx. 5 minutes walking from Zürich Oerlikon station) Does this task appeal to you?
