What you drive

• You bear overall responsibility for the Finance Directorate and ensure the sustainable financial stability, transparency, and operational capability of the Universitätsspital Zürich.
• You consistently develop financial corporate management in line with the <<USZ 2030>> strategy and create resilient decision-making bases for the CEO, the hospital management, and the hospital board.
• You are responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, as well as accounting according to Swiss GAAP FER and ensure professional financial reporting.
• Together with your leadership team, you further develop the finance organization, strengthen data-based management instruments, and promote a culture of transparency, cooperation, and entrepreneurial responsibility.
• In close coordination with the CEO, you are responsible for the management of strategic tariff management.
• You accompany the major investment, construction, and digitalization projects of the USZ from a financial perspective and ensure a balanced equilibrium between economic viability and the university's service mandate.
• As a member of the hospital management, you actively shape the strategic further development of the overall company and act as a sparring partner for the corporate management as well as central internal and external stakeholders.

What distinguishes you

• Completed university degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field with a focus on finance, controlling, or accounting. An advanced qualification in accounting, corporate finance, or corporate management is an advantage.
• Several years of successful leadership experience as CFO or in a comparable overall financial responsibility at the executive level in a large and complex organization in the healthcare sector or industrial environment.
• Sound knowledge in the areas of corporate management, Financial Planning & Analysis, accounting, financing, treasury, and risk management.
• Experience in demanding transformation, reorganization, and digitalization programs as well as in the financial management of significant investment projects.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic foresight, and the ability to communicate complex financial contexts in an understandable and target-group-oriented manner.
• High integrity, strong consulting competence, leadership strength, and the ability to bring different interests together in the interest of the overall company.
