You are the interface between development and production. You evaluate the drawings in terms of feasibility, costs and quality. In doing so, you check the tolerance chains and decide whether the CAD drawings are correct or incorrect and then pass them on to the production department for the manufacture of individual parts or assemblies or back to the drafting department. Furthermore, you analyze and optimize individual parts and assemblies in terms of feasibility, economy and process capability (including methods such as DtC, DfM and Cmk, etc.). For this responsible and important function, you need training as a polymechanic and ideally a technical further education HF or TS. In addition, you need several years of experience in machining as well as in checking CAD drawings. Very important are good knowledge of CAx, ERP and PLM systems. SAP knowledge is a great advantage. In addition to stylistically secure German language skills, good English language skills are important (at least B1).
