The Mosaic Church is an urban community of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Zürich with a clear inclusive and queer-sensitive profile. It understands itself as a home for people of different life designs, especially for young adults who want to live Christian faith communally and contemporarily. For the further development of the Mosaic Church, we are looking for a shaping, reflective, and community-oriented personality as Social Diakon (80%) limited until December 2026 ## Your tasks ### • Low-threshold social support, counseling, and conversations, especially with queer people • Development and implementation of diaconal offers, group and educational formats for young adults • Recruitment, support, and training of volunteers as well as building sustainable networks • Participation in worship services, devotions, and other formats • Active collaboration in the social media area (content planning, community management, moderation, reporting) • Conceptual further development of diakony and volunteer work • Documentation, reporting, and collaboration in team meetings and supervision Your profile ### • Completed training in social diakony or in sociocultural animation, social work (FH) or community animation (HF) • Experience in social work, counseling, or community work, ideally in a church context • Personal anchoring in Christian faith and openness to different theological approaches • High sensitivity for different lifestyles • Joy in relationship work, group processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration • Affinity for digital formats and social media • Very good German and good English skills We offer ### • Optional option for extension of employment • A meaningful task with great impact • Support from a appreciative, open community • Design freedom and space for own ideas Do you have a heart for community building and fun with motivated volunteers to shape this diakonally and take responsibility?
