Technical Sales and Application Engineer Electromagnetics

For our Swiss team in Technopark Zürich, we are looking for a Technical Sales and Application Engineer with a focus on electromagnetics. You combine technical expertise with customer contact and sales and work together with leading engineering and research teams in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Your tasks You work at the interface of simulation, customer consulting, and technical sales. Your tasks include: * Analyze technical questions from prospects and customers and develop suitable simulation solutions with COMSOL Multiphysics® * Create and present software demonstrations for electromagnetic and multiphysics applications * Support prospects in the evaluation of COMSOL Multiphysics® * Advise existing customers on demanding simulation tasks * Together with our sales team, develop new customers, applications, and business opportunities * Conduct webinars, workshops, and training online and on-site * The technical focus is on low-frequency electromagnetics and electrical engineering. At the same time, you will gain insight into a wide range of multiphysics applications. Your profile You are technically savvy, communicative, and enjoy understanding complex issues and explaining them clearly. Additionally, you are interested in customer consulting and technical sales, working in a small local team and at the same time being part of an international network of experienced application engineers and software developers. The position offers you the opportunity to further develop your expertise in simulation and electromagnetics while simultaneously building experience in customer consulting and technical sales. Bring with you: * MSc or PhD in electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable field * At least two years of practical experience with the modeling of electromagnetic applications in COMSOL Multiphysics® * Sound knowledge of electromagnetics, Maxwell's equations, and numerical methods * Experience in a relevant application area, e.g., energy and power grid technology, electrical machines, microsystem technology, or medical technology * Enjoyment of customer contact and interest in technical sales Very good presentation and communication skills * German or French at near-native level as well as professional English skills * Valid work permit for Switzerland * In-depth experience with the AC/DC Module or RF Module, practical modeling experience, as well as familiarity with the Swiss research, development, and industrial landscape and a good network are an advantage.
