The General Secretariat is the staff organization of the Department of Education. Around 60 employees provide central services for the Director and the departmental offices. The Operations team of the Buildings division of the General Secretariat, together with the organizations on site, ensures through its value-preserving measures that the buildings of the vocational and secondary schools remain in a condition that meets requirements and is sustainable. For the value preservation of the 180 buildings of the Secondary Level II portfolio, approximately 14 Mio. Fr. are available annually.

As of November 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a team-oriented and committed personality.

Your area of responsibility ###

• Leadership and coordination of the operations team as well as ensuring efficient and quality-oriented service delivery
• Planning, organization and monitoring of ongoing building operations
• Operator responsibility according to the cantonal tenant model, checking and enforcing compliance with legal requirements, standards, guidelines and safety requirements
• Planning and management of value-preserving measures and costs; independent handling of operator projects up to Fr. 300-000
• Ensuring operational and facility documentation
• Further development of the operational organization
• Central contact person for the 40 cantonal vocational and secondary schools

Your profile ###

• You have a technical or manual vocational training, ideally supplemented by further training in Facility Management, building technology or facility management
• You have at least 10 years of professional experience, ideally in a leadership or coordination function.
• You are characterized by high flexibility, conceptual thinking, independence as well as communication and negotiation skills.
