Social Worker & Practical Instructor Residential Integration, 80 %

Supervised Residential Integration is aimed at highly disintegrated persons who largely refuse care and offers furnished apartments as well as professional care/supervision 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The residents are people with substance dependencies and/or mental illnesses whose residential and social competencies are insufficient to settle into one of the existing residential integration offers.

For our Supervised Residential Integration team at Neufrankengasse 6 in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced specialist starting December 2026. The internal job title is Psychosozialer Betreuerin.

Working hours: Shift service (07.00-16.00 / 13.00-22.00) as well as 1-2 weekend services and 3-4 on-call services per month (16.15-07.15 including overnight stay).

Tasks ##

• You monitor the behavior of the clients and their state of health.
• You carry out crisis interventions in medical and psychiatric emergencies and involve third parties if necessary (e.g., emergency psychiatrist, police).
• You demand a minimum of residential and social competence, enforce the house rules, and ensure the exchange of information with the involved agencies.
• You take responsibility for the training of the interns, accompany and support them, and coordinate the cooperation with the educational institution.

Profile ##

• Degree in Social Work FH/HF, ideally with training as a Practical Instructor
• Several years of experience in the low-threshold sector with people with substance dependencies and mental impairments
• Clear, appreciative communication and professional handling of challenging situations
• Assertiveness as well as high social and self-competence
• Enjoyment of a demanding field of work as well as willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call services
