Our Data & Storage Platform area with over 25 employees is responsible for the further development and operation of the business-critical data and storage infrastructure. In doing so, you rely on modern technologies to ensure a reliable and scalable data and storage landscape.

In your role as Platform Engineer Backup & Cyber-Disaster Recovery, you will further design and develop our company-critical backup and cyber-disaster-recovery landscape. You will take technical responsibility for robust and automated solutions and make a significant contribution to the cyber resilience of the bank. This ensures that critical systems can be restored quickly and in a controlled manner after incidents.

Your tasks

• Responsible for and operating the backup and cyber-disaster-recovery platforms for business-critical systems
• Developing and automating recovery processes and scenarios so that critical services can be restored quickly and in a controlled manner after a cyber incident.
• Analyzing requirements and technologies for the continuous further development of the platforms.
• Ensuring the stable operation of the backup and storage infrastructure for business-critical systems
• Advising internal stakeholders to support technical decision-making.
• Collaborating with information security and other infrastructure teams to implement cyber resilience and recovery requirements holistically

Your profile

• Completed studies (Uni/FH/HF) in computer science or an equivalent education
• Several years of sound experience in the engineering and operation of complex backup and recovery infrastructures in an enterprise environment
• In-depth practical experience with IBM Storage Protect or comparable enterprise backup solutions; knowledge of IBM hardware, NetApp and Brocade SAN is an advantage
• Experience with Cyber Resilience, Cyber Disaster Recovery, Immutable Backups, Cleanroom/Isolated Recovery and related security and recovery concepts
• Practice with agile process models such as Scrum or SAFe
• You work independently, in a structured and team-oriented manner
• Very good German as well as good English skills in spoken and written form
