La protection des animaux de Zurich is an independent non-profit association that has been committed since 1856 to domestic, livestock, wild, furry, and laboratory animals.

We are looking for our animal shelter, as soon as possible or by agreement, a cat sector manager 80-100 %.

Do you want to commit yourself with passion to cats in distress and take responsibility for an important sector of our shelter? Are you a committed, organized person, with specialized knowledge in cat breeding and who loves working in a team? Then you might be the person we are looking for!

Your tasks ###

• Professional responsibility for the cat sector of our shelter
• Ensuring appropriate care for all cats
• Planning, implementation, and monitoring of feeding, occupation, and socialization measures
• Monitoring and documentation of health developments, medication, and veterinary instructions
• Professional support and supervision of employees in the cat sector
• Definition of adoption criteria and support for the administrative team in demanding placement decisions
• Ensuring a smooth flow of information between animal care, the office, and the shelter management
• Coordination of the occupation of cat rooms and boarding
• Organization of the maintenance, upkeep, and development of the cat sector

What you bring ###

• Completed training as an animal care assistant CFC
• Several years of experience in the care and breeding of cats
• Great sense of responsibility and deep understanding of animal welfare
• Autonomous, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Joy in providing professional support to colleagues
• Good organizational skills and resistance to stress
• Proficiency in digital work tools and documentation systems
• Very good knowledge of German, both oral and written
