Supervisor Employment 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.    The Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) Pöschwies is one of eight main departments of JuWe and, with 399 places, the largest closed JVA in Switzerland for convicted men. It fulfills a central state task and, in accordance with its legal mandate, accounts for the resocialization of incarcerated persons and the protection of the general public.   We are looking for a resilient personality with very high social competence starting January 1, 2027, or by arrangement. Together with your experienced professional colleagues, you will supervise and support the incarcerated persons at the workstations in the workshop of the Age and Health (AGE) department. Your tasks ### • Responsibility for order and security in the workshop workshops as well as co-designing a structured daily work routine • Close exchange and interdisciplinary cooperation with the AGE residential group as well as occasional assignments on weekends • Accompanying and motivating the incarcerated elderly persons during movement and sports activities • Planning and coordination of individual employment assignments, taking into account the abilities and resources of the incarcerated persons • Professional instruction, supervision, and promotion of a group of incarcerated persons in a decelerated employment daily routine • Writing reports and assessments on the development and behavior of the incarcerated persons • Engagement as an active member of the company fire brigade Your profile ### • Basic vocational training (EFZ) or equivalent qualification as well as further training as a specialist in corrections; additional training in work agogics is an advantage • Professional experience in a manual environment and interest in work agogic work with people • Pronounced social competence as well as enjoyment in accompanying and promoting people in special life situations • Professional handling of proximity and distance in contact with incarcerated persons • Team-oriented, flexible, and resilient personality with a positive basic attitude • Good German skills in speaking and writing as well as confident MS-Office skills; foreign languages are a plus • Minimum age 30 years as well as an impeccable reputation (criminal and debt enforcement register without entries)  Our offer ### • Meaningful, varied activity in a special and exciting working environment • Diverse internal and external training and further education opportunities, incl. part-time training as a specialist in corrections with a federal diploma • Catering options directly on-site in the JVA restaurant • Regulated working hours in uniformed service operations • Terms of employment according to cantonal guidelines Your application ### Are you looking for a new challenge?
