Physics Laboratory Technician 50 - 70% # The Kantonsschule Zimmerberg in Au ZH was newly opened in August 2020. In its upcoming seventh year of operation, it is expected to have 25 classes with a total of around 600 students. It runs a long gymnasium and a short gymnasium with five maturity profiles (classical languages, modern languages, mathematical-natural sciences, economic-legal, as well as philosophical-pedagogical-psychological). In the young, manageable Kantonsschule, personal contact and the individual are central. As of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a female laboratory technician/a male laboratory technician for physics to complement the team. Your tasks ### Your tasks include the preparation and setup of physical experiments for lessons on behalf of the teachers. You document the experiments, manage the required material, and contribute your expertise to the further development of the experiments. You maintain the subject-specific collection and the specialist library. You maintain the devices independently as far as possible, for example, by carrying out smaller repairs yourself and helping with the development of new experiments. The completion of general administrative work for the subject group rounds off your area of responsibility. At our school, close cooperation between the subject groups Physics, Biology, and Chemistry is central. The natural science laboratory staff exchange information regularly and thus ensure mutual substitution. Your profile ### You have training as a Physics Laboratory Technician EFZ or an alternative basic training, for example as a polymechanic. As a contact person for our natural science teachers, you have a competent, motivated appearance as well as good written and oral expression. The broad range of tasks and the lively environment require a high degree of flexibility and personal responsibility. We are looking for an independently thinking and working personality who contributes themselves and their ideas.
