For the next development phase, we are looking for an individual on an exclusive mandate as Lead Accountant, who, with entrepreneurial thinking, professional expertise, and a passion for shaping things, will contribute to continuing the success story of Howden Schweiz.

Your Challenge

• Closings & Accounting
• You take responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and ensure that these are prepared cleanly, correctly, and on time
• You ensure correct postings according to OR and IFRS and specifically apply your closing security to more complex issues
• You support tax, management accounting, and reporting topics and ensure a reliable financial data basis
• Process Development & Integration
• You participate in the centralization and harmonization of accounting processes and use Abacus specifically to automate and further develop processes
• You optimize interfaces to internal areas such as HR, Controlling, FP&A, and other specialist departments
• You support the integration of acquired companies and help to sustainably unify structures, processes, and standards
• Responsibility & Development Perspective
• You are responsible for accounting from a technical perspective and support the Head of Finance & Controlling
• You actively contribute to the professional development of the accounting team and ensure that operational quality and pragmatic solutions come together

In short: In this role, you combine operational closing security with process understanding, enjoyment of working with people, and a passion for shaping things. You ensure that numbers are correct, processes work, and that the accounting of Howden Schweiz keeps pace with growth.

Your Qualities and Talents

• You have a degree as an eidg. dipl. Expert in Rechnungslegung und Controlling or as a Treuhandexpert with a strong accounting and closing focus – or are close to completing the respective degree
• You bring at least five years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate environment or a comparably complex organization (> 150 employees)
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual closings according to OR and IFRS are part of your professional everyday life
• You have very good Excel skills and bring experience with Abacus
• Process optimization, harmonization, and the further development of accounting structures bring you joy
• Experience with more complex cost center, location, or place of business structures is a great advantage
• You work accurately, pragmatically, and in a solution-oriented manner and enjoy taking responsibility within the team
• You have native-level proficiency in German, speak English very well; French skills are a plus
