Your tasks

As Program Director & Applied Researcher, you will take on operational responsibility for selected undergraduate and continuing education programs in the field of Financial Management, Accounting and Controlling at Bachelor, Master and continuing education levels (MSc, MAS, CAS). In this function, you will work closely with the department management and are responsible for the operational management and further development of the programs assigned to you. You coordinate and lead program directors and lecturers professionally and ensure high quality in teaching, content and processes. Additionally, you combine your activity with your own teaching activity, applied research as well as consulting and expertise activities. In doing so, you contribute to the further development of our educational offerings and to the transfer of knowledge between university and practice.

Your responsibilities:

• Operational responsibility for undergraduate and continuing education offerings in the area of Financial Management, Accounting and Controlling (MSc, MAS, CAS)
• Coordination and professional leadership of external CAS program directors
• Lecturing activity in the undergraduate and continuing education events (BSc/MSc/MAS)
• Ensuring and further developing quality in didactics, content and processes
• Participation in the acquisition and implementation of practice-relevant research projects incl. evaluation, documentation, preparation of results and publication in specialist journals
• Supporting the department management in the (further) development of practice-oriented Bachelor, Master and continuing education offerings (CAS, DAS, MAS)
• Observation of current market and specialist developments as well as deriving impulses for the further development of the programs
• Advising and acquiring students, supervision of study groups and partner organizations
• Cooperation in the implementation of consulting and expertise activities for companies, administrations and associations to promote knowledge transfer

Your profile

• Completed university studies (MSc in BWL, Financial Management, Accounting or Controlling; a PhD or a doctorate is an advantage)
• Several years of professional experience in the field of Financial Management as well as ideally experience in the university sector
• Experience in working with program directors and lecturers; leadership experience is an advantage
• High level of initiative and sense of responsibility
• Strong practical proximity and existing network in Financial Management (to Big 4s, CFOs)
• Good analytical, scientific and methodological skills as well as confident handling in the application of quantitative and qualitative research methods and interest in entrepreneurial issues
• Initial experience in the development of learning formats and degree programs, such as as a Teaching Assistant, Research Associate or Post-Doc
• Very good language skills in German and English
