Checkpoint Zurich is a health center for queer people and one of the largest in Switzerland for HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and sexual health. Checkpoint Zurich is a non-profit organization with a particular focus on public health. With around 30 employees, it is one of the largest health centers in Switzerland for men who have sex with men, trans people, and other queer people, as well as all people open to our community. We offer comprehensive treatment in the fields of infectious diseases, general internal medicine, psychiatry, and psychotherapy. Our services include prevention, counseling, testing, and treatment. In addition, various campaigns, mobile testing, and events are organized. We accompany our clients with respect and equality. Your tasks: • First point of contact at reception: you personally welcome our clients, ensure efficient triage, and organize consultations within the interdisciplinary team. • Administrative support: you assist the advisors and doctors administratively and process medical documents. • Co-responsibility in the practice operation: you assume co-responsibility for billing, medication management, and the smooth operation of the practice. • Medical activities: blood draws and vaccinations are part of the daily tasks, while ECG, pulmonary function tests, infusions, and blood pressure measurements are very rare. We would also like to point out that our field of activity is not comparable to a classic general practitioner's practice and that no X-rays are taken here, for example. • Job rotation: you will be assigned to rotate in different areas (reception, laboratory, blood sampling, replacement) and actively participate in the design of workflows and processes. What you bring: • Training: you have completed training as a certified medical assistant EFZ or similar training in the health field, ideally supplemented by professional experience. • Motivation: you are very interested in the health of LGBT people and approach all life realities with great acceptance. • Personality: you are resilient and flexible, have strong communication skills, and a good command of English. • Flexibility of hours: you are willing to work in the evening as well as approximately 2 to 3 times a month on a weekend (from 1:30 pm to around 6:00 pm), and you appreciate direct contact with a diverse and colorful clientele.
