Schweizer Tierschutz STS is the umbrella organization of 71 animal welfare organizations from all language regions of Switzerland as well as Liechtenstein. As the largest nationally active animal welfare organization, it is committed to the welfare of domestic, wild, farm, and laboratory animals based on scientifically sound foundations and great commitment. In the course of a succession solution, we are looking for a convincing personality as Head of the Animal Welfare Competence Center for the Zurich-Altstetten location. In this responsible function, you will lead the competence center professionally, personally, and organizationally. Together with your team of around 35 employees, you will further develop foundations, positions, and programs and combine scientific findings, practical experience, and regulatory requirements into sustainable solutions. You will manage demanding projects, actively help shape structures and processes, and represent the STS towards authorities, politics, science, media, and other stakeholders. As a member of the Executive Board, you will work closely with the various specialist departments and bring your expertise to the further development of the organization. For this versatile leadership task, you have a Master's degree in veterinary medicine, biology, zoology, agricultural sciences, or a comparable field. You bring several years of leadership and professional experience in a demanding function and have sound knowledge of Swiss animal welfare and the relevant legal frameworks. You combine your strategic and conceptual skills with high professional credibility, decision-making strength, and a pronounced sense of responsibility. You communicate convincingly at all levels, promote cooperation between different stakeholders, and identify with the goals and values of Schweizer Tierschutz STS.
