Policy Dialogue Manager AI & Digital Governance (m/f/d) # 80%-100%, Zürich, temporary #### print Print The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies opens up new opportunities for economy and society, but at the same time raises important questions regarding security, regulation, democracy, the labor market, education, and innovation. As Policy Dialogue Manager AI & Digitalization, you will shape the exchange between leading researchers from ETH Zürich and decision-makers from politics, administration, civil society, and business. You will identify relevant political issues, support researchers in addressing these questions, establish and maintain networks, and develop formats that bring scientific findings into political decision-making processes. Project background ## The Albert Einstein School of Public Policy at ETH Zürich was founded in autumn 2025. It is an interdisciplinary center that combines Public Policy with natural sciences and technology to develop solutions for the great societal challenges of our time. Through research, teaching, and dialogue, we strengthen evidence-based policymaking and promote exchange between science, politics, administration, civil society, and business. The Einstein School includes around 80 professors and group leaders from ETH Zürich and the ETH area. Thematically, the focus of the Einstein School is on the following subject areas: • AI and digitalization • Environmental, energy, and food systems • Planning and the built environment • Public health • Economy and innovation • Peace, conflict, and security Job description ## • You identify relevant developments and political issues in the field of Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation and governance early on, and track developments in research on AI and technology governance. You observe national and international political developments in the field of AI and digitalization and identify fields of action for the Einstein School. • You independently design and organize dialogue formats such as roundtables, workshops, conferences, and background discussions with the relevant members of the Einstein School. • You build a network with actors in the federal administration, parliament, cantons, international organizations, civil society, and business and actively maintain it. • You maintain a network with ETH-internal actors, e.g., other centers in your subject area. • You advise and support researchers from ETH Zürich in activities at the interface of science and politics. • You design new teaching formats and support members of the Einstein School with applied research projects. • You write briefings, background analyses, and communication materials for different target groups. • You perform overarching activities in the field of political dialogue. In particular, you define and implement best practices in the field of political dialogue, in close cooperation with other members of the Policy Dialogue team. • You represent the Einstein School to external stakeholders and are responsible for the strategic positioning of the School in the subject area of AI and digitalization. • You support the Managing Director of the Einstein School in the strategy development and implementation of the Einstein School, as well as in individual management tasks. This position is initially limited to 3 years. An extension is intended. Profile ## • Completed university degree (Master or PhD), preferably in Public Policy, political science, economics, social sciences, law, computer science, or related disciplines. • Several years of professional experience in the political environment, in science policy, in public administration, in international organizations, think tanks, or in the higher education environment. • Experience in or demonstrated interest in questions of Artificial Intelligence, digitalization, and technology policy. • Good knowledge of the Swiss political system as well as understanding of international developments in the field of AI governance and digital policy. • Experience in building and maintaining networks with different stakeholder groups. • Ability to prepare complex scientific, technological, and political topics in an understandable manner. • Very good organizational skills as well as experience in the conception and implementation of events. • Proficient oral and written communication in German and English; other national languages are an advantage. • Creativity, a high degree of initiative, and commitment.
