The maternity ward at USZ is part of one of the largest perinatal centers in German-speaking Switzerland. Your tasks

• Holistic care and accompaniment of women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the first period afterwards
• Independent management of physiological births as well as co-management of obstetric and medical risk and crisis situations
• Participation in preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic measures in a university environment
• Ensuring professional and patient-centered care
• Cooperation with the interprofessional team of doctors, nursing professionals, and other specialist departments
• Active participation in the further development of processes and standards in the maternity ward
• Accompanying and supporting midwifery students in everyday work

Your profile

• Completed training as a midwife BSc or FH
• Joy in accompanying families around the birth
• High professional and social competence as well as an appreciative attitude towards patients and relatives
• Ability to set priorities and maintain an overview even in demanding situations
• Joy in working in an interprofessional team
• Independent, responsible, and solution-oriented way of working
• Readiness for shifts in shift operation
