Data Governance Specialist temporary, 80 - 100% # The Gesundheitsdirektion ensures high-quality and economically sustainable healthcare in the Canton of Zürich. It ensures seamless medical treatment and care and promotes the health of the Zürich population. Data is the foundation of good decisions - in administration just as elsewhere. For the introduction of the cantonal Data Governance Framework in the Gesundheitsdirektion, we are looking for a Data Governance Specialist, 80-100%, starting January 1, 2027, and temporary until December 31, 2028. Your tasks ### • Introduction of a cantonal Data Governance Framework in cooperation with the Data Governance management in the offices and the General Secretariat of the Gesundheitsdirektion. • Proactive identification of gaps and submission of proposed solutions within the existing governance framework. • Governance support: You support Data Owners and Data Stewards, moderate decision-making and coordination processes, and guide them through governance workflows. • Preparation and implementation of workshops and presentations for various stakeholders, mostly without prior data governance knowledge, coordination of exchange formats. • Coordination and follow-up of contributions from the offices and departments - You maintain an overview of who has already delivered, what is still outstanding, and ensure that nothing is left pending. • Collaboration in the development of best practices, strategies, guidelines, standards, and process documentation. Your profile ### • You have practical experience with data, e.g., as a Data Analyst, Data Steward, or in a comparable role with data-related responsibility. • You have a strong understanding of data structures, data quality, and tools, as well as enjoyment in also delving into data modeling. • You have already worked in a Data Governance Framework - a formal title is not required, what is important is the understanding of how governance works in practice. • You work in a structured, careful, and independent manner; You recognize what needs to be done and do not wait until someone else initiates it. • Analytical thinking: You quickly recognize complex relationships, think in networks, and present facts clearly and understandably. • You communicate clearly and convincingly at all hierarchical levels - even for an audience without a technical background; You can make a topic understandable and win people over for it.
