Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! Together with the municipal tax offices, the Cantonal Tax Office levies taxes for the Confederation, the Canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. To this end, around 800 qualified employees are engaged at the location in Zürich Altstetten.

We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst starting immediately or by arrangement. In this demanding position, you will take on an important role in the Project and Portfolio Management team at the Cantonal Tax Office. The function is characterized by exciting tasks and complex challenges with various stakeholders.

Your tasks

You work flexibly in all areas of the Steueramt and support the specialist departments in the methodical and strategic further development of their fields of expertise. You record requirements, identify weaknesses, and develop suggestions for improvement. In doing so, you accompany the stakeholders through the needs assessment process, ensure the business case, define acceptance criteria for change requests and projects, conduct tests, and organize user training if necessary. In addition, you advise the clients regarding organizational optimizations and economic efficiency. In the coming years, the application landscape will be completely renewed; in this project, too, you can specifically contribute your experience in business analysis and actively contribute to the design of future-proof solutions. In individual cases, you will lead projects and/or technical sub-projects.

Your profile

You have proven experience as a Business Analyst and, ideally, have tax law expertise. Furthermore, you have a higher education in Business Analysis, Business Administration, or Engineering. You can critically examine and classify requirements from various stakeholders and use them for the optimal alignment of processes, IT support, and structures.
Certifications in HERMES and/or IPMA certifications are an advantage.
You can structure tasks, approach them systematically, and complete them on time. You are empathetic, possess strong communication skills, and feel comfortable being the contact person for the relevant stakeholders.
