The Cantonal Sozialamt, with over 280 employees, undertakes diverse, controlling and operative tasks primarily in social assistance, social insurance, social services and the asylum sector at the interface between the Confederation, other cantons, cities, municipalities and various private organisations. It also operates its own facility, tilia, based in Rheinau.
For the Asylum Coordination department, we are looking for a specialist in asylum welfare/social assistance or adjunct with legal tasks as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Tasks

• You process complex individual cases and inquiries from the asylum sector up to the issuance of decrees
• You provide technical advice to the various areas of asylum coordination and clarify process-related fundamental questions
• You answer technical questions from municipalities in the field of support for refugees
• You participate in internal and cross-departmental projects and take on responsibilities for sub-areas

Profile

• You have a legal degree with in-depth knowledge of social assistance law or a focus on asylum welfare, or a degree in Social Work
• You possess professional experience in the specialist areas of social assistance or asylum welfare, migration
• You are a resilient, proactive, service-oriented person with high social competence and a sense of priorities
• You are linguistically proficient and possess quick comprehension, networked thinking skills as well as a high willingness to learn and perform
