About Our Client ##

For our client, an internationally successful industrial company headquartered in the Zurich area, we are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Logistics (m/f/d). In this key role, you will take overall responsibility for the logistics organization of a modern production site and ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe material flow.

Job Description ##

As Interim Head of Logistics (a), you will lead the entire logistics organization at the site and be responsible for operational performance in the areas of goods receipt, warehousing, picking, and shipping. In doing so, you will drive continuous improvements and ensure the highest standards regarding quality, service, and costs.

Your tasks:

• Functional and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of team leaders and employees
• Ensuring efficient personnel, resource, and shift planning
• Responsibility for quality, delivery reliability, and costs of the logistics organization
• Controlling the areas of goods receipt, warehouse, picking, disposal, and shipping
• Ensuring high inventory accuracy as well as conducting inventories
• Responsibility for the safe and reliable operation of automated warehouse and intralogistics systems
• Further development of logistics processes in the sense of Lean Management and Operational Excellence
• Support in quality and improvement projects
• Planning and controlling investments as well as budget responsibility for the logistics area
• Ensuring compliance with HSSE, quality, and compliance requirements
• Close cooperation with internal stakeholders as well as external service providers and suppliers

The Successful Applicant ##

• Completed training in the field of logistics, supply chain, or technology; further training at the Federal Diploma, HF, or FH level is an advantage
• Several years of leadership experience in a manufacturing industry or logistics organization
• Proven experience in leading larger operational teams and multi-level leadership structures
• Sound knowledge of warehouse and logistics processes
• Experience in Lean Management, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence
• Very good SAP knowledge, ideally in the modules EWM, MM, SD, or PP
• Experience with automated warehouse and conveyor systems is an advantage
• Good knowledge in the areas of occupational safety, quality management, and compliance
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
