AI & Data Engineer (60%-100%)

What you will do

As an AI & Data Engineer in the "Digital Lösungen & BIM" department, you will develop and operate the technical foundations of our internal generative AI solution across the entire company. You will design scalable data architectures and data pipelines, build vector databases (RAG) and graph databases, and ensure a secure and reliable operational application.

You will evaluate suitable AI models and new technologies, define technical standards for platforms, APIs, and models, and ensure the quality of our data integrations through testing. In doing so, you will consider data protection and IT security from the very beginning and work closely with IT as well as other specialist departments.

What you bring with you

You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study, as well as experience in building modern data and AI solutions. You bring sound knowledge of cloud architectures (e.g., Azure), data pipelines, MLOps, database integrations, as well as vector databases and RAG systems. Dealing with Git, CI/CD, and Docker is second nature to you.

You enjoy working cross-functionally with other people and with different teams. You succeed in structuring complex technical issues well and developing efficient solution proposals from them. In doing so, you maintain an overview even in demanding system landscapes and consistently take data protection and IT security into account at all times. For cooperation in our international environment, you communicate confidently in English. German language skills at least at a basic level will facilitate your entry and cooperation at our locations in Zürich.
