As Head Technical Underwriting & Academy Schweiz, you will take on the key role for underwriting quality, assurance and governance in P&C Underwriting and Commercial Insurance Switzerland. You will lead a specialized team, position the function as a central contact point for around 300 underwriters and senior stakeholders, and further develop our First Line Risk & Internal Control Framework as well as central governance and regulatory projects. What you do * You lead, develop and coach the Technical Underwriting & Academy team and are responsible for the implementation of underwriting quality, assurance and governance concepts for all P&C Lines of Business and customer segments with around 300 underwriters * You manage and develop the First Line Risk & Internal Control Framework and ensure meaningful reporting to management, risk management, compliance and the group * You act as a strategic sparring partner for senior stakeholders (executive management, risk, compliance, legal, group underwriting) and coordinate cross-divisional initiatives with high business and regulatory relevance * You are responsible for the Underwriting Academy as a competence platform for cross-LoB training, promote technical excellence and develop learning formats such as onboarding programs as well as initiatives to strengthen the international underwriting community * You position the function as a central expert position for quality, assurance and governance topics for the multinational program business What you bring * University degree or sound insurance training with relevant further training - ideally several years of experience in underwriting, governance, assurance, risk & controls or commercial insurance * Extensive experience in stakeholder management at C-level as well as proven leadership of governance, regulatory or cross-divisional transformation projects; leadership experience is an advantage * Very good understanding of underwriting governance, First Line Risk & Internal Control Frameworks, compliance requirements * Strong conceptual, analytical and communicative skills; complex topics are quickly grasped, prepared in a management-ready manner and translated into clear, actionable measures * Enjoy promoting technical excellence, learning and community building and further developing the Underwriting Academy as an effective competence platform; proficient German and English skills Your contact Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant: Philippe Frutiger () Additional information Part-time or full-time: 70 - 100% Work location: [Zürich, Oerlikon](< ,+8050+Z%C3%BCrich,+Schweiz/@,,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x479aa078092b2899:0x608cfc35ea7f52fe!8m2!3d!4d>) Hybrid working: up to 40% We look forward to your online application - even without a cover letter.
