For our client, an established and independent company in the insurance environment based in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced personality (m/f/d) on an exclusive mandate who wants to take on professional responsibility and actively help shape the finance department. Whether you are already working on the corporate side today or are looking for the step from auditing into accounting: In this newly created position, a versatile task awaits you with short decision-making paths, direct collaboration with the CFO and real scope for design.

Senior Accountant / Financial Reporting (80–100%)

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for the financial accounting including subsidiary ledgers
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Ensuring financial reporting according to OR and Swiss GAAP FER
• Preparation and further development of financial and regulatory reporting
• Support of the CFO in budgeting, forecasts and analyses
• Optimization and further development of closing and financial processes
• Collaboration on digitalization and automation projects

What you bring with you:

• Sound experience in accounting, financial reporting or in auditing
• Further education in finance and accounting, auditing or comparable qualification
• Good knowledge of financial reporting according to OR; Swiss GAAP FER is an advantage
• Experience in the insurance, financial services or another regulated environment is a plus
• Confidence in closing and enjoyment of a versatile area of responsibility
• Analytical, structured and independent way of working
• Good ERP and Excel knowledge
