The cantonal Steueramt collects taxes for the Confederation, the Canton, and the municipalities together with the municipal tax offices. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. For this purpose, around 800 qualified employees are engaged at the location in Zürich Altstetten. As a Test Manager, you bear central responsibility in our Change-process. Our services support over 2'500 municipal and cantonal employees daily as well as over one million private individuals and companies annually with tax declarations. Our specialist applications are developed by suppliers and integrated and operated by us. To reinforce our Testmanagement team, we are looking for a temporary assistant who will take on a task with sustainable importance for the Canton of Zürich for 12 months from the start date. If applicable, there is the possibility to extend the employment beyond this or to switch to a permanent position. Your tasks In your role, you are responsible for the test management during adjustments to the applications assigned to you. You analyze individual software adjustments and develop the test conception and the test planning from them. You coordinate the resources during test execution (test routes, -data, -accounts and -tools), support the creation and execution of manual E2E test cases, and create consolidated test reports. In doing so, you work closely with Release Management, the application managers, and the specialists from the specialist departments. You represent the Release Manager during their absences. Approx. 20% of your working time is used for the control of the operation of our test management and ticket systems towards our providers. With your colleagues, you optimize the processes in test, release, and deployment management. Your profile You possess sound professional experience in a comparable role and find a quick entry into your new environment. You possess an advanced degree in the field of computer science. Certifications such as ITIL® or ISTQB are an advantage. You find your way in a team in transition and are motivated to actively develop yourself and your colleagues. You work in a structured manner and act responsibly. You know how to lead your colleagues laterally.
