The Europe/Africa office in Zurich is part of the Secretariat of Rotary International, headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, USA. With 40 employees, our mission is to provide Rotarians in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East with an efficient, high-quality service and to support them in achieving the goals of Rotary. One of our long-standing employees is retiring soon and we are looking for our Membership Growth and Experience Team in Zurich, effective immediately or by arrangement, for a Membership Growth and Club Experience Specialist - (100%) Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein Your contribution to the team As a central contact person, you support district leadership, club presidents, Membership Chairs, and club members in member retention, recruitment, and club building, as well as strengthening the club experience in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Liechtenstein. You accompany and support members at the zone, district, and club levels with innovative ideas, strategies, and resources to advance membership goals, improve the diversity of membership, and found new clubs. You offer advice and support in member recruitment within the framework of the platform for potential members, events, or projects aimed at contacting potential members. You are a trusted contact person for volunteer leaders at club, district, and zone levels on matters of governance and building a positive culture. You process administrative processes smoothly. You accompany, motivate, and train Rotarians through moderated discussions, workshops, and presentations. Travel to the assigned regions is expected at least two to three times per year. What you bring Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience as well as at least 5-7 years of experience in a consulting role. German as a native language and fluent English skills are essential. French or another European language is an advantage. You work in a structured manner, set clear priorities, and deliver excellent results. You are team-oriented and at the same time enjoy working independently. You have the ability to interact with international business leaders and members in their respective languages in a culturally sensitive manner. You are enthusiastic about training, moderated discussions, and innovative learning formats. You convince with a professional appearance as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
