Counselor for victims of human trafficking 80 - 90%

FIZ is an independent, confessionally neutral non-governmental organization with around 40 employees. It advocates for the protection and rights of migrants affected by violence and exploitation. For this purpose, it runs the counseling center for migrants and the specialized victim protection program for victims of human trafficking. Furthermore, FIZ trains professionals and interested circles on the backgrounds of human trafficking and female migration. In addition, it conducts political work at the municipal, national, and international levels. Our work is feminist and anti-racist. Counselor for victims of human trafficking 80 - 90% Start of position is from September or by arrangement Your tasks • Psychosocial and socio-pedagogical support of the residents individually and in the group in daily coexistence, daily structure, and integration • Crisis intervention, stabilization, and promotion of conflict competence You are responsible for one (of several) locations (design, further development such as maintenance of the infrastructure, security measures, key worker activities of the resident clients both on an individual level and in coexistence with the other clients, leading individual and group discussions) • Close cooperation within the care team as well as with the case-leading counselors • Taking on different shifts according to the duty roster: Early from 08h - 16h30 / Late from 12h - 20h / On-call: 20h-08h from home (1x per week and night shift 20-8h on-site in case of emergencies or admissions). Additionally approx. once a month telephone service (on-call backup) as technical support for the weekend team What you bring • Dipl. nursing professional HF, ideally psychiatric nursing, social pedagogy or in a comparable field • Professional experience in practical work with people affected by violence and traumatized • Very good German language skills • High social competence and self-reflection, flexibility, resilience, and teamwork skills • Feminist and migration-political engagement • Personal migration experience is very welcome Advantageous • Experience in working with people with addiction experience and/or psychological distress • Foreign language skills • Life experience • Experience in crisis interventions We offer • A very challenging, varied activity in an intercultural, interdisciplinary, motivated, and supportive team • Regular inter- and supervision as well as further training • An entry annual salary at 100% between 87'000.- and 97'000.- depending on age • Above-average social benefits • 40 hour week, 6 weeks vacation, from the age of 50 years 7 weeks We know that job postings can often be intimidating, especially for people with experiences of discrimination.
