Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The kantonal Steueramt, together with the Gemeindesteuerämter, levies taxes for the Confederation, the Canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. For this purpose, around 800 qualified employees are engaged at the location in Zürich Altstetten. As a Test Manager/-in, you bear central responsibility in our change process. Our services support over 2-500 municipal and cantonal employees daily, as well as over one million private individuals and companies annually with their tax declarations. Our specialist applications are developed by suppliers and integrated and operated by us. To reinforce our test management team, we are looking for a temporary assistant who, starting from the entry date, will take on a task with sustainable importance for the Kanton Zürich for 12 months. If applicable, there is the possibility to extend the employment beyond this or to switch to a permanent position. Your tasks • In your function, you are responsible for test management during adjustments to the applications assigned to you. • You analyze individual software adjustments and develop the test conception and test planning from them. • You coordinate resources during test execution (test paths, data, accounts, and tools), support the creation and execution of manual E2E test cases, and create consolidated test reports. • In doing so, you work closely with Release Management, the application owners, and the specialists from the business departments. You represent the Release Manager during their absences. • Approx. 20% of your working time is used for managing the operation of our test management and ticket systems towards our providers. • Together with your colleagues, you optimize the processes in test, release, and deployment management. Your profile • You possess sound professional experience in a comparable role and find a quick entry into your new environment. • You possess an advanced degree in the field of computer science. Certifications such as ITIL® or ISTQB are an advantage. • You find your way in a team in transition and are motivated to actively develop yourself and your colleagues. • You work in a structured manner and act responsibly. • You know how to lead your colleagues laterally. • Your initiative, service orientation, and proficient German skills in speaking and writing round off your profile.
