Swico is the economic association of digitalizers and represents the interests of established companies and start-ups towards politics, economy and society. Our over 750 members from the ICT and internet industry employ around 60'000 employees and generate an annual turnover of around 40 billion francs. In addition to political interest representation and various services for our members, Swico operates the national return system for electrical and electronic waste with "Swico Recycling" and thus makes a concrete contribution to the circular economy. To bridge a maternity leave, we are looking for our team in Zurich - just a few steps away from the main station - from 1 October 2026 to probably 31 May 2027 an engaged personality as Public Affairs Manager (80-100%) Public Affairs Manager (maternity leave replacement, 80%-100%) In this role, you will take over digital political and regulatory dossiers independently and work at the interface of politics, administration, economy and industry. Thanks to a roughly two-month handover phase at the beginning, you will start in a structured way and will not be thrown into cold water. The role is ideal if you want to specifically deepen your public affairs profile in a relevant industry association. Whether between two stations or as a deliberately set focus for the coming months. These are your tasks: You observe and analyze political affairs relevant to the ICT and digital economy and prepare them for internal opinion formation and political interest representation. You participate in consultations, consultations, session writings, statements and other political submissions and develop well-founded bases for Swico's positioning. You independently manage selected committees and working groups and closely coordinate with the Head of Legal & Public Affairs as well as internal and external stakeholders. You participate in political communication - for example, in contributions for Swico channels, background papers or communication bases. You maintain contacts with member companies, partner associations, administration and politics and represent Swico at specialist events, especially in the field of digital politics. This is what you bring: University degree, preferably in politics, law, economics or social sciences. Several years of relevant professional experience - for example, in public affairs, politics, administration, associations, consulting, communication or a regulated environment. Good understanding of political decision-making processes in Switzerland and interest in regulatory issues around digitalization and ICT. Very good, target-group-specific written expression and secure appearance towards politics, administration and members. Independent and reliable working method with high self-initiative and pleasure in team cooperation. Very good German and English skills; good French skills or other national languages are a plus.
