Das kjz (Kinder- und Jugendhilfezentrum) is a polyvalent counseling center for families, parents, adolescents, children and toddlers and works on the basis of the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zürich. Then become part of our team as a trainee (MAiA) in the field of Social Work and Mandates at the kjz Rüti starting September 1, 2026, or by arrangement. In parallel to your training at a university of applied sciences in Social Work, you will have the opportunity to specialize in child and youth welfare. You will be successively introduced to the area of responsibility. Our core business includes: ### • Case management of statutory measures on behalf of the Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde KESB (assistances and guardianships) • Counseling on behalf of parents • Assessments in cases of child welfare endangerment on behalf of the Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde KESB or the courts In daily work, in addition to the core tasks and cooperation with parents, children and adolescents, this means above all: ### • File management and the writing of reports and applications to authorities • Cooperation with homes, foster families, socio-pedagogical family support, child and adolescent psychiatric services, school psychological services etc. • depending on the mandate, also performing tasks within the framework of financial administration You have already begun basic studies in Social Work at a university of applied sciences or have the admission for the start of studies. We are looking for a motivated, reliable and resilient person with high social competence. You are characterized by an independent way of working as well as good written and oral communication skills. Initial professional experience and a minimum age of 25 years are required.
